New President and Vice President of Superior Council Named
On February 15, 2005, the National Assembly elected the new members of the Superior Council of the General Audit Office of the Republic of Nicaragua. The members will serve for 5 years. On February 16, 2005, the Superior Council unanimously elected Dr. José Pasos Marciacq to be its new President and Dr. Guillermo Argüello Poessy to be Vice President. Both will serve 1-year terms. The other members of the council are Luís Ángel Montenegro, Fulvio Enrique Palma Mora, and Lino Hernández Trigueros. Alternate members are Vicente Chávez Fajardo, Christian Pichardo Ramírez, and Francisco Guerra Cardenal.
